Jain Board Games

Jain board games take the games every family already plays, ludo, snakes and ladders, race-and-chase boards, and rebuild them around Jain ideas: the soul’s journey through the gatis, the sutras, the 14 niyam, the six avashyak. A child rolls the dice for fun and absorbs the vocabulary and the values without noticing.

Most are for ages 4 and up. Families keep one for the yatra bus and one at the grandparents’ home, pathshalas bring them out on the last day of term, and a board game is a return gift that gets used rather than shelved.
