Jain Sutra

Jain sutras are learnt by repetition, and repetition is easier when it looks like play. This collection turns the sutras a child meets first, the Navkar, Iriyavahiyam, Samayik and Chaityavandan among them, into laminated cards for the derasar bag, board games that move a token along the words, jumble-word games, flashcards for the 18 paapsthanak and the saat lakh, and step-by-step sutra books for older children.

Pathshala teachers use the cards for daily recitation and the games for revision days; at home a sutra game replaces the evening screen without feeling like homework.
