Because the details on the back are in both English and Hindi, the same set serves a child who reads only English and a grandparent who reads only Hindi, and the two can quiz each other. The large image on the front makes each Bhagwan recognisable long before the child can read the name.
Good for: children from infancy, who begin with the pictures, through to school age, when the birthplace, parents and lanchan become quiz material. Seniors who can no longer travel to tirths keep a set for daily darshan of all 24 Tirthankars.
How families use it: lay out all 24 cards in order and ask the child to find the Bhagwan by number, by lanchan or by birthplace. Pathshala teachers use them as a weekly memory drill. Pair them with the 24 Lanchan of Tirthankars (Flashcards) for a matching game.
