Shri Aimutta Muni

Description

Aimutta was a prince who followed Gautam Swami home from the street and asked for diksha. As a young muni he floated his patra on a puddle like a boat, was corrected for it, and while reciting the Iriyavahiyam in repentance saw the harm he had done to the beings in the water, and reached kevalgyan on the spot. It is the story pathshalas tell to explain why the Iriyavahiyam is said with attention.
