Bharahesar Sajjay

Bharahesar Sajjay is the composition recited before morning pratikraman that names the hundred great souls of the Jain tradition, 53 men and 47 women, beginning with Bharat Chakravarti and Bahubali. The books here tell the life of every one of them: an illustrated single volume with an original painting for each story, made for a child to read with a parent, and a three-volume set that gives each life at full length. The names recited each morning become people with stories: kings who renounced, munis who kept their vows under torture, and shravikas whose courage is still remembered.

Read one life a day through Chaturmas, use them at pathshala for the sajjay lesson, and gift either at a diksha, a tapasya parna or to a swadhyay group.
