Description
The words are grouped by the concepts a child meets first in a Jain home, so the names of the upkarans are learnt alongside seeing them in the puja room, and the 14 dreams are learnt in the weeks before Paryushan when they are read out in the derasar. Because every card carries a short meaning, the parent does not need to prepare anything.
Good for: children from infancy, who start with the pictures, up to any child beginning pathshala who needs the basic vocabulary before the lessons make sense. Cards are in English.
How families use it: introduce five or six cards a week rather than the whole set, and revisit the earlier ones with the I-spy and memory games the cards are designed for. Pathshala teachers use them as a warm-up in the first minutes of class. When these are known, My Second 108 Jain Words continues the series.

My daughter Dishani is just 5 months old, she just loves the card, picture on it ofcourse she will take time to understand the meaning and narration of the cards but it’s excellent to introduce all words this way to babies..
