Description
Every year, on the day of Mahavir Janma Vanchan, the fourteen dreams of Trishala Mata are read out and explained to the children present. A child who has coloured the elephant, the bull, the lion and the rest already knows them by sight. The left page gives the finished picture and what the dream means, the right page the outline to colour, so the meaning is learnt while the crayon is moving.
Good for: children aged 2 and up with a parent naming each dream, and older children colouring on their own.
How families use it: bring it out in the week before Paryushan so the dreams are fresh, keep it for the long afternoons of the festival, and give it as prabhavna at a children’s programme. Pathshalas set a page a week. Families who want the dreams as a puzzle or a game move on to the 14 Swapna range.
