Snatra Pooja

Snatra puja is the abhishek ceremony that re-enacts the janma kalyanak of a Tirthankar, performed on birthdays, anniversaries and festival days at home and in the derasar. A snatra puja book gives the family the verses in order, so the whole group can sing together instead of following one person, and children can join in from the first line.

Keep a copy with the puja upkarans so it is at hand on the day, and give one to a family performing snatra puja at home for the first time.
