Chaityavandan

Chaityavandan is the short sequence of sutras a Jain recites standing before the Tirthankar idol, and it is usually the first full vidhi a child learns at pathshala. The material here is made to be carried into the derasar: a card with the complete chaityavandan sutra in order, sturdy enough for daily use, and a book that adds the stavans and stutis sung within the vidhi.

Families keep the card in the derasar bag so a child can do chaityavandan without waiting for an adult, and pathshalas hand one to every student when the vidhi is taught.
